E-Learning award for Compliance e-learning

December, 2009

The Royal Bank of Scotland has been presented with a prestigious ‘gold’ award for two of its e-learning modules by the annual E-Learning Awards.

The RBS ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ and ‘Customer Complaints’ modules (both of which were designed and developed by BYG Systems) were commended for meeting the needs of compliance for an external regulator or an internal workforce.

For the award-winning campaign, BYG adopted a multi-layered individual structure that allowed users to focus on the learning most relevant to them. The instructional design team took into account the disparate global user group and created separate learning paths with role-specific information.

The modules were split into key areas, such as ‘The Value of Complaints’ and ‘Recognising and Resolving Complaints’, which presented the information in a clear and concise manner. The judges praised an inventive design process that helped develop and deliver critical training on an international scale.

BYG’s ‘single module’ approach has maximised efficiency, acceptance and alignment for the RBS customer complaints training, which in turn has halved the time taken for completion.

The E-Learning Awards, published by the E-Learning Age magazine, is now in its fifth year and has seen a huge increase in the number of admissions, inevitably making 2009 the most competitive year to date.

These awards are further recognition of BYG’s commitment to providing creative, forward-thinking e-learning and communication initiatives for global organisations.
