BYG Systems debuts LMS at e-learning

BYG Systems launched it's latest web based Learning Management System (LMS) at the e-learning exhibition on 6th-7th June 2001.

Key features include a modular approach to licensing, allowing clients to purchase modules according to need. Modules also comprise a unique profiling system, which enables administrators and users to tailor their learning experience, creating a focused and directed learning environment. Components of BYG's LMS are also able to work alongside other learning management systems.

Using case studies and demonstrations, BYG will also show examples of web based learning, learning portals, e-learning through Intranet and extranet and knowledge management systems.

One such e-learning application has been developed for Vodafone by BYG enabling store staff to complete their entire induction in a virtual town. It replaces three days of classroom based training. A knowledge management system sits behind the fun facade, monitoring user progress and providing assessment at the end of each section.

When Bhs needed to familiarise 12,000 staff with a new EPOS system, they combined the impact of new media with their intranet for cost effective high quality training. This application runs across Bhs's internal network via a web browser, enabling mass simultaneous access, and offering staff first hand experience of the EPOS system.
